The raging storm in blogosphere

By the time you read this, you would have been already aware of the raging controversy in blogosphere involving JAM magazine, Rashmi Bansal, Gaurav Sabnis & IIPM that can very soon become the biggest controversy in Indian blogosphere, the implications of which will transform the way we view the functioning of management institutions, media, and bloggers in a working democracy. I am still chewing on this story and keeping a close watch on the developments. More later…..

For people who are oblivious to the above story, read all of it here. Do scroll down and read the updates too.

Quality of Bollywood movies

Today, I read four movie reviews hosted on Rediff. 3 reviewers were choosing the best words to describe the shit they saw on the screen and all of them had cool and hilarious headliners for their reviews, (‘Avoid Kasak, get Lucky’; ‘Rain: The worst movie ever’; ‘God help the Siskiyaan viewer’) where as the other review simply proclaimed ‘Maine Gandhi Ko is a masterpiece’. Do read all of them, they make wonderful reading.

I guess this pretty much reflects my observation about the quality of movies that come out of Bollywood. 25% are immensely watchable while 75% of them are best talked about for their abysmal mediocrity. Is it not ?
